What is the Metis eLibrary?

The eLibrary is a multifaceted educational tool designed to host digital resources and support the information and knowledge needs of a school. It assists pupils in their learning, research and the acquisition of academic skills.

Why would we need it?

The eLibrary is an invaluable tool for students to learn, research and develop the necessary academic skills to prepare them for tertiary education. The provision of a flexible and easy to use digital library extends a school’s provision of library facilities. A well selected digital library provides schools with collection of resources that are constantly updated and reviewed.

Is this just a resource for the Librarian?

Absolutely not – this is an educational product of top-level strategic value to your entire school. The eLibrary is easy to use and an invaluable resource for all the students and teaching staff. Our administration area is designed to make it easy for anyone employed in the education sector to operate it. The super curriculum element allows additional stakeholders to develop a whole school resource outside of formal classroom teaching.

Who is it for then?

Pupils and teachers. It provides every student with the ability to learn and research and allows academic department to develop their own collections. The eLibrary allows the school community to access knowledge and information outside of the library’s opening hours. The eLibrary has the ability to provide staff with a discrete area for professional development materials.

Who benefits?

Your students, their parents and the teaching staff.

How difficult is it to install and how long will it take?

From order to installation will be between 2 and 8 weeks and it will require virtually no input from your IT resources. We will require on-line/in-person sessions with the relevant staff for the project to make sure the package suits the needs of your school. Prior to implementation you will all be able to run through the proposed go-live version to ensure that that the design has been properly implemented and that it follows your school's branding.
